Cooks Like She Talks: Baby Shower

My first baby shower was last weekend and my sister and Emily threw a great party. It should be noted that Emily and I define "great parties" based on the presence of Deviled Eggs. There were plenty. Check!!

It was super fun with silly games and cute decorations, just like all showers should be. I am so thankful for all my generous friends and family, this little one is so spoiled already. In addition to the shower, my mom and I went to Ikea last Friday to pick up the crib. After much debate we switched gears at the last moment and went with the Sundvik in the grey-brown. Then we brought it home and realized we had accidentally bought the dark brown. Womp womp....

Anyway, Mike said he liked the color so we kept it, and set it up and now the guest room/my closet/we don't know where to put this so throw it in there junk room is now a BABY'S ROOM. I cannot stop staring at the crib. The room is still a work in progress but the crib...it seems "real" now.

Also, my sister made this sweater for baby. As in, she knitted it. I am super impressed. It's beautiful. I think everyone should have an Aunt who knits, so way to go Auntie Meg!!

And thanks again, to Meg and Emily, for the shower. It was surreal and special and so thoughtful.?
